HISTORY The BCSCL was established in the Bow Valley in 1989 through the support of parents in the community who lived with a child that was diagnosed with a diability. The existence of a service gap in the Bow Valley was recognized as many others were forced to leave their home town in order to access services and support in one of Alberta's larger centers, primarily Calgary.
